Reverse xbox live gamertag lookup. Trillian Astra, the next version of the popular Windows multi-client chat application Trillian, is being developed for the Mac. Cerulean Studios, the makers of Trillian, has released a limited and experimental Mac version to approved testers of their new Astra platform. Hopefully a working version will be made available for general release someday; Astra itself as been in invite-only Alpha stage for nearly a full year now.

Trillian on Mac is something that many people have waited for for a long time. It's an aesthetically pleasing, feature rich service with a very loyal group of users. Trillian Astra users can chat seamlessly with friends on Yahoo!, ICQ, AIM, Bonjour, Windows Live, Google Talk and MySpace IM. There's a web component of the new service, an RSS ticker and more – see a screenshot of the pared down Mac version below.
The particulars of this service as opposed to others are better experienced than they are described. Other multi-client chat tools include the open source Pidgin (formerly known as GAIM) on Windows and Adium on Mac.

The bundle identifier for this app is com.ceruleanstudios.trillian.osx. The Trillian installer is commonly called trillian-for-mac-v1.6.0.40.zip, trillian-for-mac-v1.4.0.52a.zip, trillian-for-mac-v1.1.0.6b.zip or trillian-for-mac-v1.0.0.106.zip etc. Some of the program aliases include 'Trillian 3', 'Trillian-1', 'Trillian-2'. A long-time Trillian Basic user (before the existence of Trillian Astra), I switched back to Trillian due to having recently purchased an Android phone; Trillian's cloud history was the primary incentive. Today, I finally got around to uninstalling it. Unfortunately, in the current form, the ads that Trillian displays are far too intrusive for me. The developer warns that the Mac OS X version is on a completely different release cycle than the Windows version, so non-simultaneous releases of Windows and Mac versions are likely. The alpha build is available for users who have already set up Astra accounts and contact lists under the Windows version of Trillian. Mac OS X: Trillian, the slick-looking multi-protocol IM client that kinda-sorta won our Hive Five for best IM app, has launched an early alpha for Mac OS X. It's not close to feature-complete.
