Fujitsu Lifebook Touchpad Not Working

broken image

Hello
Just bought a Fujitsu Lifebook E544, took out the windows HDD drive and dropped in a SSD, loaded Ubuntu, cracking performance..then noticed touch pad and left/right buttons not working. Ordinary USB mouse works, FN + FunctionKey4 which shows a little mouse icon does not switch on the touch pad, even when the USB mouse is not plugged in (on reboot or if taken out while OS up).
With the original HDD in, Windows 7 pro, the touch pad works as expected. Is it possible to get the touch pad working with Ubuntu?
Fujitsu Lifebook Touchpad Not Working
  1. My Fujitsu 'Lifebook' is giving me problems when the cursor moves erratically if I move my fingers over the touch pad while typing or just a casual movement. It appears to be thermal sensitive since I don't have to even touch the pad for it to happen.
  2. Last week I bought a Fujitsu Lifebook AH552 for just INR 29000/- it is the cheapest laptop available here (Kerala, India). With below configuration; RAM: 4GB Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-3120M CP.

Fujitsu Lifebook Drivers Windows 10

I was driving in a bus and surfing in internet, and when i got home and turned on my laptop, my touchpad wasn't working anymore. Even the pointing button in the middle of keyboard isn't functioning. Reverse xbox live gamertag lookup. Therefore i tried to update the drivers and so on, but it seems that my laptop (Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook S 7020) doesn't recognize the touchpad at all.
